Microsoft Project Videos (required)

These videos have been grabbed from my BAD220 Advanced Business Applications Course. They provide a good overview of when and how to use Microsoft Project. If you happen to have Microsoft Project installed on your machine or you are viewing these videos at Dominican, you can load the Microsoft Project file in Item 2 below into Microsoft Project and experiment with it. It will take about 25 minutes to watch these videos. They are replacing a longer assignment to produce a short paper on outsourcing.

This video explains how to determine which types of projects are suited for Microsoft Project. It also provides information on how to document a project in Microsoft Project including defining tasks including task duration, specifying resources, and assigning resources to projects. 10 minutes and 46 seconds.

This video reviews a realistic project definition in Microsoft Project that was downloaded from site gantthead.com. The Microsoft Project file is here in case you want to examine it in greater detail. This video demonstrates some of the reporting features of Microsoft Project.

_provide a work program for your “Short Paper” project showing tasks in the order in which they will be performed and an estimated time for each task measured in hours. Provide a minimum of 15 tasks. The last task should be “Submit to Canvas” with an estimate of .1 hours (6 minutes).

The short paper is about : Ideally, it is feasible to write on the IS/IT function at your place of employment. Identify the computer platforms (mainframe, LANs, WANs. PCs), transaction processing systems, general software utilized by employees, etc.

Now, what I need you to do is:
